It was 'Grey Nomad' season as we traveled they are a breed peculiar to Australia apparently and we have met some lovely people there too

They travel Australia 'having adventure before dementia' in their mobile homes and 4 wheel drives, and basically carry their suburban lives with them for a few months on the road

Everything you can find in their homes you can find in their mobile homes and when they stop they just get out of the vehicle and walk back to their 'home from home' and disappear except for a brief appearance to out the television arial up for reception

Except for an occasionial get together, the friendliest they are is in the morning when they are packing up to leave!

Another strange phenomenon is that in spite of all the dust, and flies, and distance and shortage of water I have never seen one speck of dust on any of the vehicles which leads me to believe there are hidden car washes only they know about on the Stuart Highway that in spite of our slow way of travelling Tony and I have never seen!
